The Broadmoor East Angel Fund
At Broadmoor East Veterinary Clinic, we understand that unexpected medical emergencies can place a significant financial burden on pet owners. That’s why we’ve established the Broadmoor East Angel Fund, a special fund dedicated to providing immediate care for pets in urgent need, whose owners are unable to afford the necessary treatment at the time.
How It Works
The Broadmoor East Angel Fund is supported by generous donations from our compassionate clients, as well as contributions made by Broadmoor East Veterinary Clinic in memory of each pet that is put to sleep at our clinic. This collective effort allows us to extend a helping hand to pets who require critical medical attention and have a good prognosis if treated promptly.
Eligibility and Use
The Angel Fund is designed to assist in urgent situations where timely intervention can make a significant difference. Please note the following guidelines:
- Current Clients: The Angel Fund is only available for use by current, established clients of Broadmoor East Veterinary Clinic.
- One-Time Use: The Angel fund can only be used once per client (NOT per pet).
- Alternative Financing: Clients must first apply for third-party financing (Cherry, Scratch Pay, or Care Credit) before being considered for the Angel Fund. If a client is approved for financing for a portion of the cost of treatment, Angel Funds may be used for the remaining balance that would not be covered by alternative financing.
- Immediate Care: The Angel Fund is intended for pets needing critical care with a favorable prognosis if prompt treatment is provided.
- Exclusions:
- Preventive care treatments (e.g., vaccines, spay/neuter, dental cleanings).
- Chronic conditions such as renal (kidney) disease, diabetes, congestive heart failure, or similar long-term illnesses.
- Cesarean Sections
- Parvovirus
- Services provided by a third party (e.g., Surgical services with ACE Mobile Veterinary Services)
- Availability: Funds are limited, so the use of the Angel Fund is based on the availability of funds at the time of the request.
